I have found that teaching and analyzing decision making skills can be difficult and slippery. The best way to see what a pilot will do in certain situations is to be able to observe him or her in that position. Obviously it is next to impossible to explore all possible conditions, so the next best thing is to present the pilot with a scenario, add some variables, and analyze the pilot's thought process. I have put together a few different scenarios that I think could lead to good discussion and consideration. These should be explored with a CFI. There are speaker notes that will help explain possible pitfalls and add more information. Some of the scenarios include links to accident reports that should be reviewed at the end of that particular scenario.

This is just the beginning. I would like to have input from users for more scenario ideas, and I am considering using pictures of situations such as weather, and dangerous items found on preflights.
